Immerse yourself in the city of dreaming spires with an experienced and knowledgeable local guide. We are the longest running independent tour company in the city, operating from the blue gates of Trinity College on Broad Street for over 30 years.

City and University Tours
Take a stroll through the city of dreaming spires with one of our experienced guides. Our daily walking tours will take you into one of the oldest University colleges, exploring the historic dining hall, chapel, cloisters and quadrangles.[1] Discover the Bodleian Libraries, the iconic Radcliffe Camera, and the original University Church of St. Mary’s.
Learn about the complicated and sometimes bloody rivalry between the city and the University, spanning over a thousand years. Your guide will explain the collegiate system of tutorials unique to Oxford and Cambridge, and the peculiar traditions, pranks and rituals that define student life. Stories highlight literary giants such as J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Lewis Carroll, and bring you to many of the sites used for filming in Harry Potter, Inspector Morse, and Lewis.
Tours last 1½ hours and run daily, every hour from 11am–4pm (3pm in Winter).
I really enjoyed Stuart’s walking tour when I visited in January. I included it when I wrote about my day out in Oxford in my travel blog: http://suzannethetravelmagpie.com/2011/07/13/return-to-oxford/
The City and University Tours, Ghost Tours and other speciality tours operate all year round (apart from Christmas Day):

I agree with all the comments made, a good tour plenty of information … I would recommend Stuart, brush up on your history before you go, you are asked questions.
Our tours have been featured on two BBC TV programmes, in The Cherwell student newspaper, and recommended by Rick Steves in Best of England.
For enquiries, please see our contact page (where you will also find our social media links) for details of the most appropriate person to get in touch with.
I recommend it in particular. With this visit we will get the opportunity to visit the most imperative destinations of Oxford and get a decent audit of it’s history .
